Platform Engineer – Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering enterprise-scale software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern cloud platforms, helping development teams streamline delivery through automation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.

You'll play a key role in building and enhancing internal development platforms, improving deployment pipelines, and enabling engineering teams to deliver software more efficiently across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks.
• Support engineering teams by improving internal development platforms and self-service tooling.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA teams, and Solution Architects to optimise the software delivery lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting build, release, and deployment processes.
• Support application deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot platform, build, and deployment issues to ensure reliable software delivery.

Key Skills

• 4+ years' experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Azure, and PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and software delivery automation.
• Experience working with source control and branching strategies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
